Diversity Diversity
Suffolk DAAT values diversity, promotes inclusion, and works to ensure there is equality of opportunity for all services users, staff, partners and stakeholders

Our Commitment

We are committed to embedding equality and diversity principles into all that we do within the organisation. Our Diversity Statement sets out our partnership approach and commitment to the diverse needs of service users, our workforce and the services we provide.

This positive attitude seeks to ensure that the varied needs and circumstances of the people living in Suffolk are met and that services commissioned are provided in a way that does not discriminate.

Everyone in Suffolk is entitled to the same oppourtunities to access good quality treatment, our job is to remove any identified barriers that prevent people from doing this. The diversity related objectives contained in the Adult Treatment Plan identify how we plan to address specific community or individual needs.

The diversity work remit continues to grow, some of the work we have done to date includes:

  • Providing information in a range of formats relevant to the community
  • Ensuring the needs of our diverse community is taken into consideration in the planning, development and delivery of services
  • Equality and Diversity Training for workers in the subsance misuse field
  • Ensuring all of our policies, procedures and strategies do not discriminate
